Depositing Your Canning Money
November 14, 2011Now that the first canning weekend, many of you are probably wondering how to deposit your money towards your total. In order to make the process easy, our Finance Team has broken down the process into three easy steps which will get you in, out, and on with life in no time.
Since SABO at the SAC only allows to to $4.00 worth of change, you will first need to convert your change into cash. TD Bank at 70 Bayard Street has a penny arcade that everyone can use. However, note that they take a cut out your change if you don’t have an account. Some DMers have been able to get this fee waived by saying the money goes to charity, so that is worth a shot if you get to talk to someone.
Once you have less than $4.00 worth of change, go to SABO which is downstairs of the SAC. SABO is open from 9-4 Monday-Friday. While at SABO, you will fill out a Deposit Slip. You need to date it, write the account name “Dance Marathon,” account number “440,” line code “600,” and transaction code “021“, write those down before you go. Most importantly, in the comment section you need to put your full name and write “canning.” After, there is a section to indicate how much money you made so fill that out accordingly.
Last, go to your DonorDrive page which can be found at embracekids.donordrive.com. Sign in and in the top right you will see “View Donations.” Click it and then click “Add Check/Cash Donations.” Then enter the amount you made canning. Once you do this, the Finance Team will be able to confirm with SABO and that money will go to your total!
